Lindsay Barclay

Owner & Licensed Interventionist

My name is Lindsay Barclay and I am a Nationally Certified Intervention Professional located in Mayflower, Arkansas. I began this journey eight years ago when I realized my own addiction to drugs had completely taken over my life, and I was no longer in control of my circumstances. I came to this realization after totaling two cars in a period of four months, both due to falling asleep at the wheel under the influence of drugs. I called my parents from my hospital bed in hopes that they would help me get back on my feet just one more time. I was surprised to hear their response was quite the opposite of what I had expected.

The answer was “No”. My family had finally decided that enough was enough, and they could no longer continue helping me stay in the deadly cycle that I felt trapped in. Looking back, this is the moment that saved my life. The boundaries that my parents set that day actually empowered me to seek the help that I needed. I was finally uncomfortable enough to want change. Within a week, I was on a flight to a long-term treatment center in Kaneohe, Hawaii. It was a thirty-month program that completely transformed the way that I did life. The adversity that I faced there instilled strength in me that I did not even believe was possible. It was here that I found my passion for helping others get out of the same cycle I was in.

I ended up staying two extra years and working in the Admissions department where I was able to visit women’s jail facilities and bring clients in from the mainland. From there, I started my career as the Assistant Director of a Non-Profit in Hawaii with a mission of helping families re-unite after being torn apart by drug addiction, child abuse & neglect. I was fortunate enough to be offered an internship by Rod Espudo, a well known Interventionist based out of Los Angeles who has been in the field of Addiction since 1989. After I completed this internship, I decided it was time to move back to my hometown in Arkansas and begin fulfilling my calling here.

My heart is to see suffering people receive transformation and become happy, healthy and thriving individuals. In my experience of helping families over the years, I have realized that most do not know how to solve the problem of addiction with their loved one because they have never been through it before. My hope is to use my knowledge to guide families in this process so that they can empower their loved one to make the changes themselves with the help of other professionals.
